• Who makes LiveWhale Calendar?

Hi, we’re White Whale Web Services. We’re a web design and development company that works exclusively with colleges, universities, and independent schools around the world. We create beautiful, useful, and truthful work that reflects the authentic spirit of the communities it represents.

We developed and released LiveWhale CMS, a full featured enterprise web content management platform, in 2007-08. We released LiveWhale Calendar, an independent product based on the same platform (and included with the CMS), in 2012.

  • Is LiveWhale Calendar easy to use?

We think our products are easier to use than any other enterprise software available today. Every decision we make is with the needs and habits (and hopes and dreams) of our users in mind.

  • Who uses LiveWhale Calendar?

Our client list includes the University of Oklahoma, the University of Akron, NYU, Texas A&M, Tarleton State University, Adams State University, Santa Clara University, Marian University, Carthage College, Lewis & Clark, College of the Atlantic, Ursinus College, Penn Law, Penn Nursing, Penn Medicine, Alma College, Southwestern University, Washington College, Barcelona Graduate School of Education, and more.

  • How long does it take to roll out a new calendar installation?

It depends on the level of customization you require. A basic installation and configuration of the calendar to match your general design template can be accomplished in as little as 3 weeks.

If you have specific custom design requests, or data migration needs beyond importing feeds from other applications, that can add more time. In general, we suggest that 4-8 weeks is probably a realistic timeline for most implementations.

  • Do you offer phone support, or just online?

Free support is by email only, with the exception of emergency support which is available by phone. Guaranteed response times are detailed in a Service Level Agreement (and we’re almost always way faster than we promise to be).

  • Does it integrate with [name of software product that you’re already using] ?

Probably! LWC produces and consumes standards-based feeds, and we have a robust read API; that’s enough to ensure integration with most common database tools. And if it’s not QUITE that easy, we’re also happy to work with you on custom integration projects.
